Is the theme cost included in the $2,400 AUD setup fee?
No. Theme licensing is separate, typically $200–$400 as a one-time purchase from the Shopify Theme Store. You pay that directly and own the licence. Studio Elephant recommends the theme and factors it into the total budget upfront.
Can Studio Elephant work with a theme I already bought?
Yes. If you already own a theme, Studio Elephant can set that up. If it is a poor fit for your goals, you will hear that honestly before work starts.
How is theme setup different from a custom store build?
Theme setup works inside what the theme can do. Studio Elephant customises extensively, but does not write a full custom theme from scratch. A custom build removes those limits and starts from $5,000 AUD. If you need something the theme cannot do, Studio Elephant will say so before you pay.
Do I need products and content ready before kickoff?
Ideally yes. The 2–3 week timeline assumes your catalogue and key copy are ready. Placeholder content works early on, but final content keeps the build accurate.
What happens after launch?
One week of post-launch support is included. After that, updates are billed separately. Many stores come back for a $699 AUD conversion audit once real traffic data exists.
