I've been building websites for 20 years. For the last several I've focused on Shopify — 200+ stores built, with clients ranging from small independents to brands like JB Hi-Fi and FXD Workwear.
Background
I started building websites in the early 2000s — back when tables were layout and Flash was a selling point. Over the next two decades I worked across static sites, e-commerce, and everything in between.
Shopify became my focus because it's the right tool for most e-commerce jobs — well-supported, fast to build on, and merchants can actually run it themselves after handover. I've built 200+ stores on it and know the platform inside out.
Studio Elephant exists because most agencies are too slow, too expensive, and too removed from the actual work. I do the work myself. You deal with one person, start to finish.

Shopify stores
My main specialty. Full custom builds, theme setups, CRO audits, and ongoing updates. 200+ stores delivered — I know what works and what doesn't.
Conversion optimisation
Finding and fixing what's costing you sales. Page-by-page audit, video walkthrough, written findings, priority fix list. Most stores have 3–5 high-impact issues I can identify in the first hour.
Static websites
Fast, clean sites for businesses that don't need e-commerce. No bloat, no WordPress security headaches, just a site that loads fast and does its job.
Copy that converts
Product descriptions, page copy, and headlines written to turn browsers into buyers. Copy is the most underestimated conversion lever on most stores.
How I work
Same-day quotes. Plain English. No ghosting.
I give you a clear estimate before any work begins, keep you updated as it progresses, and don't consider a job done until you're happy with it. If something takes less time than quoted, you pay less.
I'll also tell you when something isn't worth doing. If a full rebuild won't move the needle, I'll say so. If you don't have enough traffic to justify a CRO audit yet, I'll tell you that too. The goal is results for your business, not billable hours for mine.
What I won't do
- Take on work I don't think will get results and bill you for it anyway
- Disappear mid-project or leave questions unanswered
- Hand your project to a junior or offshore it without telling you
- Use jargon to make simple things sound complicated
